The city of Fulda is for the major part marked by plain and clear architecture. A distinct language of forms can also be found
in the conversion of the bank building from the 1990s in the city centre where one of the upper floors was to be redesigned
as an open and bright dentist’s office. In order to satisfy the client’s demands, however, a completely new spatial structure
was necessary.
The most important spatial concept was the relationship between the interior and the courtyard. Instead of the continuous
parapet, there are now three window openings of varying sizes: on the side with the reception counter, ceiling-high casement
windows, on the two transverse sides, narrow long windows at the height of head and on the fourth side full glazing which
here creates the strongest relationship to the central atrium. Designer luminaires put accents in the hallways and the waiting
zones.

1 Direct light can penetrate deep into the building through the storey-high glazing. 2 Spaciousness and natural light create a pleasant atmosphere in the treatment rooms. 3 Accessories and the ceiling luminaire produce a pleasant atmosphere.
